Cancelation & Refund Policy
We would be sorry if you had to cancel, but we understand situations can arise that require this. We've developed a very fair and transparent cancelation refund policy, based on prior notice you can give us from your start date*.
The start date* is considered to be the first day of any service, which could be an airport transfer or hotel reservation. Therefore, this date could occur before our actual guiding service starts if you plan to have some unguided days on arrival.
Cancelation Requests Received with...
16 days or more notice
If you cancel 16 days+ before the start date* we can refund everything except your initial deposit and credit card, bank transfer, Paypal fees.
We retain this to cover staff calls, emails and all our time spent planning, designing, costing and booking a tour with you and suppliers, including our Paypal or credit card fees to receive your deposit and make bookings with suppliers. We would also need to spend further time contacting suppliers to unwind reservations and request refunds, some of which charge us.

15 days or less notice
Any cancelation on or within 15 days before the start date* is calculated according to this table:
How is a Refund Calculated? (excluding group tours)
We will first use this table to calculate a value, then reduce that figure by any fees we have incurred from arranging your trip, such as, but not limited to, credit card merchants.
In respect of our photo guide fee, we also follow a sliding scale (inside these 15 days) that reduces your refund the later you book. Because finding new work for our guides and driver at such late notice is extremely unlikely, as photographers typically plan their trips months in advance. Our guides are all freelance and depend on a confirmed booking, so we feel it fair they should be compensated to some degree or fully if the cancelation is within the last 3 days.
How to Cancel
To cancel your trip please follow this procedure
Any cancelation must be made in writing by email, by the person who booked, using the subject: CANCEL Cancellation refunds will be calculated as of the date we receive your written cancellation. So it's vital you know that we received your email that day.
In order to let you know we received your email, you will receive an auto-reply confirming receipt, and it will be flagged as important to management. If you do not receive this auto-reply, contact us via the website homepage 'Quick Question' contact form. Please also try sending your email again from another email account.

Cancelations or Refunds While on a Tour
After the start date* has commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to an unwillingness to continue, early departure, late arrival, or missed days on a tour due to weather, disaster, sickness or any other reason. Please ensure you select very good insurance that full covers you for such situations.
Booking Cancelation Policy for Groups, Business, Workshop Organisers, and Third Party Tour Operators, arranging a trip through us.
The refund policy, in terms of deposit, or any other payment, could vary for group tours based on our communication with you. This is because group bookings often have specific terms and conditions, and there might be a penalty. For example, the first night of a hotel group booking might require 50% paid up front and is non-refundable from the time of booking. Some advance booking group tickets are non-refundable. Please ask our team for the cancelation and refund potential for your group hotel booking. Here is a table that shows the default cancelation and refund policy should you not be told about specific terms of booking and bringing a group, workshop or any B2B or third party travel company arranging a trip with us.
